Why Should You Prune Trees and Shrubs?
Proper pruning enhances the beauty of almost any landscape tree and shrub. The idea that anyone with a chain saw or a hedge pruner can do a proper job pruning is far from the truth. Remember that pruning is the removal or reduction of certain parts of the plant that are not required, or that are of no use to the plant. It is done to supply additional energy for the development of flowers, fruits, and limbs that remain on the plant. Pruning, which has several definitions, essentially involves removing plant parts to improve the health, landscape effect, or value of the plant. Removal or pruning larger trees is considered an art form. Removal of large trees with minimal damage to the lawn is extremely important to us.
